Yesterday, there was an attack on one of our servers by a hacker.
This attacked did not affect our servers as the hacker did not gain access to them, but it affected some CMS (WordPress and Joomla) sites hosted on the particular server.
Also note that this hacker did not gain access to the cpanel panel of these accounts.
Sites affected are those that have not been updated to the letest version of the script.
What We Are Doing:
We are working hard to see if we can restore these joomla and wordpress accounts that were affected.
What You Should Do:
-
If your site is CMS based, kindly update to the latest version and use a strong password as the admin password.
-
Do not use your cpanel password for you joomla and wordpress admin password.
-
Join the mailing list of the script you use and make sure you hear from them often.
Join our list by going to http://www.lagoshost.com/mlist.html and use the list form there.
We shall get back to you with more details.
Thank you for your support.
Cheers,
Security,

Are blogger blogs at risk?
Well, you need to use a very safe and strong password as a blogger on blogspot.
